I was amazed at how quickly I received this battery - 2 days USPS, same as Amazon Prime! Then the disappointment set in. I have an HP dv5-2000 and it doesn't fit. I don't really blame the seller, since computer manufacturers have an annoying habit of changing battery types regularly. Nevertheless, they should revise the compatibility to be more specific than "dv5 series" if in fact HP has created incompatibility within the dv5 platform.
I'm rating the seller, not the battery.

This battery really provides what I wanted... I like the slight "lift" and longer life than what was available with the original equipment battery. Now when I need it, I have 8-10 hours of battery life between the two.

I got the battery quicker than I expected to, and it works great! If i'm using the computer non-stop I can get a good 5 hours out of it, depending on what im doin. I bought it to replace my 6-cell that had died, so I am definetly satisfied. I didn't see this in the specs at first, but it does have the charging port right on the battery, just like the HP 12-cells, so you can charge it when it's not plugged into your computer. Great price, definetly worth it.
