WORKS WELL. THE CORD ATTACHING TO THE LAP TOP IS STIFF AND HARD TO MANAGE.

It worked OK for six months. Then the USB ports in the quickdock would drop off line. The docking station and laptop need to be completely powered down and rebooted. The USB ports finally died at about 9 months of use. The connect light on the quick dock connector indicated connected. The connect light on the quick dock was off indicting not connected. The Sound and video continued to work.
The biggest problem is that HP does not support the one year warranty. They require hard copy proof of purchase. The complete transaction was done on-line. You would think that from the HP part serial number that HP could verify the date of purchase.
I do not recommend any HP product because of very poor service, they do not stand behind there warranty.

I bought this docking station to use my laptop as a desktop computer when I am at home, and I'm very pleased with it. All the included ports works well, and I had no issues with the headphones output, so probably HP improved the shielding of the dock. My only wish would be that this docking station could be put under the laptop, but that is not a big deal to me.

The product was advertised as being new but the seal was broken on the box and on the DVD that came with the product. After installatuion the video port operated but none of the USB ports would function so I returned the product as defective

I love the quickdock so far. It has 6 usb ports, plus a port to connect your monitor, audio and mic ports (it has a couple others I haven't tried).
You connect everything to it, even power, so then you only need one single cable to connect to your laptop. This makes it so much easier to disconnect the laptop and take it away.
It has a power button, which you click and the laptop goes to sleep.
The cable that goes to the laptop is thick and a bit hard to handle. It also makes it a little difficult to find a nice way to place the dock in a small desk.
Either way, the advantages are greater than the disadvantages. I recommend it.
